ISO Accreditation with Top Marks confirms Extech Cloud’s Top Tier Information Security Management system as the best

We can confidently say that there is nothing Extech Cloud doesn’t know about managing security, both for ourselves and for our clients, as we have recently achieved recertification for ISO27001 Information Security Management, proving our expertise. We are hugely proud to share this achievement and explain what it means for our valued customers.

What is ISO27001 and how did Extech Cloud achieve it?

ISO27001 is the international standard for information security management. Extech Cloud has achieved this accreditation for a second time, following a recent BSI (British Standards Institution) audit and will be issued with a new Three-Year Certificate of Compliance and Accreditation. Passing our Three-Year Recertification Expanded Audit means an additional three years of Accreditation to this prestigious standard.

The auditor was very happy with our security management system and its evolution over the years, and found our system to be extremely robust, well maintained and managed.

In fact, when compared with others globally, Extech Cloud’s ISO27001 Management System, showed us in the Top Tier for this accreditation. On average, 18-26 Minor Non-Conformities are raised per company on an annual audit, whereas Extech Cloud only had one raised over a three-year period (and was able to solve it almost immediately).

Why is this important for Extech Cloud customers?

We work with many different types of business, including within the financial and legal sectors, and information security is a serious concern for any business owner. This ISO27001 accreditation helps reassure our clients that we can provide a high level of security, and has given Extech Cloud staff members the confidence to detect security risks for clients, providing an extra level of protection.

As well as showing us in the top tier level of accreditation, this achievement sets us apart from our competitors, as one of the few IT companies our size who has gone the extra mile to gain this the ISO27001. Many of the small to medium sized companies stop at ISO9001, which we also have.

This latest achievement is also on top of Extech Cloud’s incredible accomplishment of attaining Cyber Essentials and Cyber Essentials plus for the last three years.

What next?

The IT sector is fast-paced and continually developing and changing. Some changes will be made to the Standard and Information Security next year, with ISO27001 undergoing a slight overhaul to bring it more up to date with current technology and capabilities.
